RAMSCO founder Rawya Mansour has been named Arab Women of the Year in Egypt — the latest in a public record of leadership in regenerative agriculture and sustainable development.

The recognition follows a sequence of public honors connected to her work in sustainable development: the 2017 BPW Global Award for Entrepreneurship, the 2019 African Female Leader of the Year recognition, the 2022 Prince Albert II Environmental Society Membership, the 2023 Forbes Middle East Top 100 list, and RAMSCO's 2025 recognition by the BRICS Businesswomen Alliance as a top practice for women empowerment.

"Sustainable development is the solution to end poverty."

At RAMSCO, the work is practical before it is ceremonial. The company grows organic food in the Nile Delta, recycles agricultural waste into biochar and compost, and pays rural women equal wages for agricultural work. Its 2030 vision is to build 340 zero-emission villages, create 10 million jobs, recycle 35 million tons of agricultural waste, and reclaim 1.5 million acres of desert land.
